The Chemnitz Vocational School was founded in 1924 as a first school building after the World War I. The building was trendsetting at this time.

In 1996, the refurbishment starts with the modernization of workingplaces for the trainees. The complete reconstruction of the workshop building was realised within 12 months only.

The engineers successfully harmonized sensible and in detail the listed industrial architecture of the workshop building with the new functional and technological requirements.
